Outstanding play was had from all who attended the tournament this past weekend. A little bit of a slow start saw the Redmen fall in their first game to last years WOSSA Champions --Central Elgin . Leading the team in steals was point guard Tyler Hart & in scoring was Mitch Anderson with 22 points , followed by Eric Hausen with seven. Ryan ORouke would add 6 and 4 each for Sebastian Keller and Mark VanBakel. Randy Zwep also added a bucket to the cause to end the game 65-45.
Going into Saturday the Redmen were keen to handle their opponents. Facing Woodland Christian in their first game. Leading the team in assists was Captain Jade Maxwell. Scoring was evenly distributed , contributing to the 51-15 win including: Eric Hausen 13pts, Ryan O'Rourke 10pts, Mitch Anderson 9 pts, Randy Zwep 7 pts, MarK VanBakel and Angelo Zembashi would each add 4 --as well as buckets from Sebastian Keller and rookies Luke Harrison and Devon Simpson. Solid defense was also added from Joel Kaastra.
The final game would only upset the St.Marys Host Salukis as Central Huron controlled the play and added a 56-36 victory to take home the B-side banner. Again leading the team in assists was Jade Maxwell. Followed again by the revived play of Mitch Anderson with 19 pts, Post players Ryan O'Rouke had 9 pts, Randy Zwep added 8 pts, Angelo Zembashi 4pts, Sebastian Keller 3pts. Wingers Joel Kaastra, & Mark Vanbakel each contributed 4 pts. Luke Harrison also added a 3 point shot for the Redmen. Excellent Work --Guys:))
